Halifax is a county in Virginia. It was formed in 1752 from the following county/ies: Lunenberg. Halifax began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1753, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1746, probate records in 1752, and court records in 1752. For more information, contact the county at 134 S. Main St. Halifax 24558-3215.
