The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and others have compiled and published volumes of cemetery records, but no statewide collection has been prepared to date. Publications from the DAR include Bible, court, and probate records in addition to cemetery inscriptions. Consult holdings of the Georgia Archives, DAR Library (see page 13), and the FHL for major collections of published tombstone inscriptions. Other public and private libraries may have smaller collections.

A statewide bibliography of Georgia cemetery records through 1985 is Ted O. Brooke, Georgia Cemetery Directory and Bibliography (Marietta, Ga.: the author, 1985) and Davis and Brooke, Georgia Research (see Background Sources for Georgia).
