Franklin is a county in Virginia. It was formed in 1785/6 from the following county/ies: Bedford/Henry. Franklin began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1785, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1786, probate records in 1785, and court records in 1786.
