Fayette is a county in Tennessee. It was formed in 1824 from the following county/ies: Shelby/Hardeman. Fayette began keeping birth records in 1914, marriage records in 1838, and death records in 1914. It began keeping land records in 1821, probate records in 1836, and court records in 1824.
