Etowah is a county in Alabama. It was formed in 1868 from the following county/ies: as Blaine; renamed 1868 Blount/Calhoun/Dekalb/Marshall/St. Clair. Etowah began keeping birth records in 1894, marriage records in 1867, and death records in 1898. It began keeping land records in 1867, probate records in 1867, and court records in ?.
