Emmet is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1851 (1859) from the following county/ies: unorganized (Delaware/ Polk)/ *Boone/ *Webster. Emmet began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1876, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1876, probate records in 1877, and court records in 1859.
