East Hampton is a town in Middlesex county in Connecticut. It was formed in 1767 (as Chatham; renamed, 1915) from the following town or towns: Middletown. East Hampton is a part of the East Hampton probate district and has been since 1824. Middletown was/were the previous chronological district or districts.
