Chickasaw is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1851 (1853) from the following county/ies: unorganized (Delaware/ Polk)/ *Fayette. Chickasaw began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1853, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1851, probate records in 1854, and court records in 1853.
