Cerro Gordo is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1851 (1855) from the following county/ies: unorganized (Delaware/ Polk)/ *Floyd. Cerro Gordo began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1855, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1855, probate records in 1857, and court records in 1880.
