Boone is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1846 (1849) from the following county/ies: unorganized (Linn)/ *Polk. Boone began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1848, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1849, probate records in 1865, and court records in 1867.
