EXTINCT TOWN, BELGICA, GREELEY CO., KANSAS 

On the 20th day of August 1887, Eugene Tilleux was appointed Postmaster at Belgica in the County of Greeley, State of Kansas.

Adhemar Eugene Tilleux was born in Belgium 12 March,1857,came to the United States in the fall of 1883 and to Greeley County in April 1886 where he located on a homestead. He was the editor of the Western Homestead newspaper from 1892 to 1899 in Greeley County. He and his wife, Lola Belle Lambert Tilleux and family also lived in Hutchison Kansas and later in Shreveport, Louisiana where he died in May 1926.
