Bayfield is a county in Wisconsin. It was formed in 1845 (as La Pointe) from St. Croix County. Bayfield began keeping birth records in 1879, marriage records in 1869, and death records in 1870. It began keeping land records in 1850, probate records in 1857, and court records in 1859. For more information, contact the county at 117 E. Fifth St., Washburn 54891.
