Augusta is a county in Virginia. It was formed in 1745 from the following county/ies: Orange. Augusta began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1785, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1745, probate records in 1745, and court records in 1745. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 590 Staunton 24402-0590.
