Aroostook is a county in Maine. It was formed in 1839 from the following county/ies: Washington. Aroostook began keeping marriage records in 1839'92 now held by the county clerk. It began keeping land records in 1839, and probate records in 1839*. For more information, contact the county at Court St., Box 787 Houlton 04370.
