Arlington is a county in Virginia. It was formed in 1789 (as Alexandria; renamed 1920) from the following county/ies: Alexandria. Arlington began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1801, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1669, probate records in 1778, and court records in 1772.
