Appanoose is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1843 (1846) from the following county/ies: unorganized (VanBuren)/ *Davis. Appanoose began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1842, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1850, probate records in 1846, and court records in 1851.
