Albemarle is a county in Virginia. It was formed in 1744 from the following county/ies: Goochland (part of Louisa added, 1761). Albemarle began keeping birth records in 1853, marriage records in 1853, and death records in 1853. It began keeping land records in 1744, probate records in 1744, and court records in 1744.
