Adair is a county in Iowa. It was formed in 1851 (1854) from the following county/ies: Pottawattomie/ unorganized (Dallas/Mahaska/Monroe/Polk) *Cass. Adair began keeping birth records in 1880, marriage records in 1854, and death records in 1880. It began keeping land records in 1854, probate records in 1857, and court records in 1887.
